Abstract	Patterns of foreign direct investment in Korea are largely the result of government policy. A general evaluation of transnational corporations in the country is followed by specific findings concerning general management and production practices, decision-making structure in various aspects of management, recruitment of employees, operational problems, and research and development practices.
